This is the start of a new Pink and Green Quilt with a rose theme using the Double Stack Quilt Pattern that I have available in my Etsy shop.
These fabrics are so sweet and colorful.
The rose fabric is the starting point. I love roses and decided to make a rose themed quilt. These antique roses are pictures I took of roses in my garden. I’m a big fan of antique roses that can stand up to heat and the dry months of our summers in the south.
I found these roses at the Antique Rose Emporium in Independence, Texas and here is a post where I shared the experience. Here.
The fabrics above (from left to right) are:
Skipping Square Dots (Snowflakes) in Vanilla Ice Cream from Sherbet pips by Aneela Hoey for Moda
Pearl Bracelet in Yellow from Outfoxed by Lizzy House for Andover Fabrics
Crazy for Dots and Stripes Dottie Green/White
Sugar Hill Falling Roses White/Pink by Tanya Whelan for Free Spirit
Green and White small print unknown
Leaf Stripe in Pink from Outfoxed by Lizzy House for Andover Fabrics
Illusion Diamond Pink from 1001 Peeps by Lizzy House for Andover Fabrics
Dumb Dot Blush by Michael Miller
Remix Zig Zag Pink/Lime by Anne Kelle for Robert Kaufman
The pattern is a combination of squares and rectangles. I have been busy cutting out all the pieces to make the quilt top.
Do you ever have a day where your brain is just shut down? Mine wasn’t firing on all cylinders today.
Do you ever sew two sections together incorrectly, pull out the stitches, only to restitch it the wrong way again?
That was me today, several times. The seam ripper and I are best buds.
This pink and green quilt is coming together nicely. Here are several posts with the progress and finish of the Rose Quilt.
I'm hearing you – I've just put borders on my mystery quilt (I'm calling it the misery quilt) and one is the wrong way around – it is a side border so I have to unpick the top and the bottom (at the start) then the side and resew all!!!

Haha, yes, I have done that!! Your quilt is coming together beautifully. Are you improvising or following a pattern?

I have done that more times than I can count. Sometimes it is best just to go to bed and start over the next day. I love the fabrics in your quilt.

I can't count the times I have taken something apart and then promptly sew it back together wrong again. Yours looks great!
