Stitching is about to commence…
The rose quilt is pinned and ready to be quilted. This quilt has just become larger and larger throughout this whole process. I don’t know what the size is now, but I will give you a final measurement once it is all finished.
I love the colors and fabrics in this quilt and cannot wait to see how they look once it is quilted. I am so excited to see this all together. I have decided on the fabric to use for the binding, which is usually a hard decision for me, but this time it came easy.
So now all I have to do is get busy stitching… In the meantime, I thought I would share with you a few pictures of my sewing helpers….
This is Apollo… the snuggler.
It is all he cares about. He is a very sweet and gentle cat and I love snuggling with him.
This is Artemis…he is a little crazy. Not much of a cuddler, but is very curious, into everything, loves to eat plastic (plastic bags, ziplocks, the plastic warning tags on electric cords), and is always in the middle of my sewing.
*** I promise I do not to let this crazy cat eat plastic. We cannot leave any out anywhere or he will find it in the middle of the night. We also have to remove the warning labels that are wrapped around electrical cords so he doesn’t try to chew them off.***
He went through a phase where he would chew holes in my husband’s undershirts. My husband would set out his undershirt with his clothes for the next day and Artemis would grab it in the middle of the night, drag it downstairs and chew little holes in it. Needless to say, my husband doesn’t set out his undershirts anymore.
This is a picture of him as a kitten. As you can see, he has always been crazy.
I hope everyone has a great weekend celebrating Father’s Day. Hopefully amongst all the celebrating, I will make some progress on this quilt. I am ready to have this bad boy finished! There are other projects on my list calling my name, but I must resist!

I love the colourway in this quilt – there's something kind of muted about it and knocked back while the colours are still strong – you've done a great job of picking fabrics with the same value so they work together brilliantly. Looking forward to seeing it all made up π

I recognize some of those fabrics from my stash…beautiful! I love the pics of sewing helpers. Apollo looks like my Tommie. I also have the orange cat Salvadore and my Maltese Dweezle to help me sew. They are a lot of company, aren't they….some fabric, some music and a sewing helper…what could be better!

Pinks & Greens & Yellows – I love it, those colors just look wonderful together! I thought my cat was weird for loving to lick plastic, but I'm sure glad she doesn't eat it! Lol! I love it when my cats help me sew. π Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

Have fun quilting this weekend! I am drooling over your machine – just look at all that space to the right of the needle!! Does it make machine quilting easier? Can't wait to see this quilt finished.

Great progress! What have you filled it with? What would we do without our cat helpers? Bear and Gelly help me. Gelly chewed through the cord to my foot control a while ago.(Gelatine Evangeline!)

Love your colours in the quilt, and your sewing machine looks familiar! Your cats are hilarious and sound exactly like our two!

I have that same problem with quilts getting larger…. If I don't have a real plan for it and I have the fabric, then it becomes a problem. The baby quilt I was sorta thinking about it being is no longer…. Then time for a new quilt… It's a viscous circle!

The colors on this are just plain cheerful! I love it π

Love the pictures of the kitties. I have a cat like Artemis, his name is Thomas and he too eats plastic. He especially loves the ties on garbage bags. He never did chew on clothes, but he did go through a phase where he would attack legs. We have a snuggler too, his name is Fergus. Love your quilt!
