Mug Rugs: Next 3 of 9…
Here are the next 3 mug rugs. If you missed the first three you can view them at this previous post – Mug Rugs: First 3 of 9…
Millies Closet by Bee in My Bonnet for Riley Blake Designs
Here is more Millies Closet. I can’t get enough of the little purses. This fabric has such a great texture with its linen like feel, which adds a nice touch to the mug rug.
Modern Meadow collection by Joel Dewberry
This is another one that I was really unsure of how it would turn it out, but now that it is finished, I love it. Again, the dark colors make me nervous. I need to get over this fear of dark colors.
These fabrics are from some scraps I have so I am not sure of their names and are from Joel Dewberry’s Modern Meadow collection. The only exception is the green polka dot, which is Amy Butler’s Full Moon Polka Dot in Lime from the Lotus collection.
Half Moon Modern by Moda
This one is my favorite out of the three. I love these colors together. The large lime chevron is my favorite! It is so bright and simple. I used it on the back of my Rainbow Stairs and Steps quilt (which is also made with the Half Moon Modern collection).
Here is a look at the backs.
Here is another look at all three together (they are each 8″ by 5″). The blues, greens, and greys are so soothing. The next set will have a lot more red.
At this point I have made a lot of mug rugs. If you are interested in seeing some of the others, just type mug rug in the search box on the left and you will find plenty of results.
Here are my buds (Artemis and Apollo). They were keeping me company while I took pictures. They are laying underneath the iron board (don’t worry, the iron is not on the board, it was put away at the time). They are so big, they make the iron board look small. I love when these guys hang around while I work. They are so sweet and they always make me feel relaxed and peaceful.
Stay tuned for the last 3 mug rugs. I have been working on small projects for the past few weeks and am starting to get the itch to work on a larger project. I hear a quilt calling my name…
**New update: To make your own mug rugs you can find a pattern for these designs and other variations listed in my shop here – Bundle of Mug Rugs.
Happy Sewing,

Love that second one! The one with the fabrics you don't know the name of. The colors are just fab, and the backing is perfect! Do you by any chance know what that fabric used for the backing is?
