A New Quilt Using Sherbet Pips Equilateral Triangles

Aneela Hoey’s fabrics are so fun and colorful.  I just love her style and her collection Sherbet Pips doesn’t disappoint.

An equilateral triangle quilt is my next project using this adorable fabric.  The small prints work well for small equilateral triangles.  I am going to arrange the triangles in a pattern instead of my usual random style.

I have had these fabrics for a while and have talked myself out of using them several times.  I go back and forth between hoard them or use them.  They are so cute, I just want to save them, but really… where is the fun in that.

I should at least wait until it gets cooler before making a quilt with these lovelies.  It isn’t really scarf wearing weather yet (at least where I live), but I cant wait any longer.

Fabric Sherbet Pips Dogs

Many of you are familiar with this collection, but I thought I would share my favorites.  These little dogs are too cute and I love the scooter fabrics.  The light blue and soft shades of pink and grey are so pretty.

Ok… a few more favorites… the little dog running with the scooters, the little dog riding the scooter, and the little snail on the move, just too cute.

I didn’t really notice these guys until I started cutting the fabric.

This has been a fun quilt to cut and prep.  Fun fabrics make for fun prep.

Equilateral triangles are easy to cut and are a good shape if you want to fussy cut your fabrics.

Fussy cut – cut fabric to get a particular part of the design centered or featured in the piece
