Sweet Sherbet Pips Equilateral Triangles
A New Quilt Using Sherbet Pips Equilateral Triangles Aneela Hoey’s fabrics are so fun and colorful. I just love her style and her collection Sherbet Pips doesn’t disappoint. An equilateral triangle quilt is my next project using this adorable fabric. The small prints work well for small equilateral triangles. I am going to arrange the triangles in a pattern instead of my usual random style. I have had these fabrics for a while and have talked myself out of using them several times. I go back and forth between hoard them or use them. They are so cute, I just want to save them, but really… where is the…

Fabric!!
I am as giddy as a school girl. I have come to the conclusion that I definitely have a fabric addiction and the true way to my heart is fabric! Look what I stumbled upon while shopping on Etsy. I found these at claydeal. She has a great selection and a lot of fabrics from Denyse Schmidt’s Katie Jump Rope collection, which is out of print. I wish they would just rerelease it like Flea Market Fancy. Orange and Yellow Ribbon Flower from the Katie Jump Rope collection by Denyse Schmidt I am absolutely in love with this ribbon flower fabric and missed the boat when it was released. I…

Tea Time, Fabric and Jalapeño Jelly
Yesterday I had a lovely time enjoying afternoon tea and mimosas in a sweet little tea house with friends and family. It was so nice to enjoy an afternoon of relaxation, beautiful weather, good company and delicious treats. (If you missed my previous post, which explains this story further, check out this link: Mug Rugs: First 3 of 9) Afterwards we went shopping at fun little shops in a historical district of a quaint little town. One of my purchases was Jalapeño Pepper Jelly. If you have never had it, you should try it. I was surprised how delicious it is and I love the mixture of sweet and spicy.…

Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton Color Card
I finally broke down and ordered a Robert Kaufman Kona cotton color card. It really has made my life easier. Whenever I needed to purchase a certain color, I would find myself looking at different online shops just trying to determine the true color of the fabric I was considering buying. One site’s picture of the particular fabric would be very different from another site’s. If you are in a time crunch, this is not the best way to order fabric. What happens if you choose the wrong color? You have to start the frustrating process all over again. After several times of searching and guessing, I decided it was time…

They are so simple, but very effective. These are Boho…

Playful Remix Zig Zag … Fabric Find
Remix Zig Zag by Ann Kelle This is Remix Zig Zag by Ann Kelle for Robert Kaufman in Red, Black and Pink/Lime. You might recognize the Pink/Lime from my Rose Quilt. There are so many great color variations of this zig zag and you can find them if you search on Etsy. I love adding them to quilts because they add fun texture. One of my favorites is the black and white chevron print. This is what will border my I Spy quilt and what I have been waiting not so patiently for. Remix Zig Zag fabrics are great to keep stocked up on. I ordered more to refill my stash and these just…
