A Family Treasure – An Heirloom Antique Quilt Made in 1902
Family Antique Quilt I am sharing with you an heirloom antique quilt made in 1902 that I am very proud of. Β My grandmother was so sweet to ask me if I wanted to have this lovely quilt that her grandmother made. She wanted to ensure it was passed down in the family and well taken care of. Β (I do not normally keep the quilt on this bed, it is way too fragile to be in use) Keep in mind that all the colors are very faded, the olive colored strips between the blocks were a more vibrant green. My great, great grandmother and a group of her friends each made…

For the Birds Tumbler Quilt Top
The tumbler quilt top is complete. Tumblers are so fun! Especially randomly placed tumblers. Ok, this is only partially randomly placed. I started piecing the rows together randomly in short sections, but then I arranged and rearranged and rearranged those sections… many, many times to get it the way I wanted. Yes, it sounds like a little much, but I wanted to make sure that certain fabrics and colors were spread out throughout the quilt. I also did not want the same prints to be pieced directly together. I have also prepped the backing and it is ready to go. I love this floral and purchased it a few months…
